Surface cleaning and preparationSurface cleaning and preparation refers to the processes required to prepare a workpiece for painting or coating. There are two types of surface cleaning and preparation methods used by Midwest Metal Fabrication. These include:
Chemical surface cleaning and preparationMidwest Metal Fabrication applies (via spraying, wiping, or dipping) a chemical solvent to remove material that will interfere with bonding of the paint to the workpiece during chemical surface cleaning operations. Mechanical surface cleaning and preparationMidwest Metal Fabrication uses shot blasting, tumbling, grinding, wire brushing, or other mechanical process to remove material that will interfere with bonding of the paint to the workpiece during mechanical surface cleaning operations. Maximum/minimum size of cleaned and prepped workpieceWe can accommodate workpieces to be cleaned up to a maximum of 10’ long x 5’ wide, x 6” high.
