Corrugated sheet curving services

Corrugated sheet curving - photo

Corrugated sheet curving services at Midwest Metal Fabrication.

Corrugated sheet curving is the process used to transform a flat sheet of corrugated steel into a curved sheet. This process is accomplished by placing a flat sheet of corrugated steel into a mechanical curving mandrel that consists of a series of interlocked steel rollers. The corrugated sheet is repeatedly fed into the rollers and then slowly bent in small increments until the desired radius bend in the corrugated sheet is achieved. The sheet is bent in small increments to prevent it from forming kinks and to control the degree of bend achieved.

Corrugated sheet curving overview

Midwest Metal Fabrication offers heavy-duty corrugated sheet curving services to customers requiring these heavy-gauge metal-fabricating services. We operate a number of programmable corrugated sheet curving machines to assist our OEM customers to produce curved corrugated shapes they need to meet their custom fabricated metal parts requirements.

Tonnage

Midwest Metal Fabrication operates a computer controlled corrugated sheet curving machines which has a tonnage capacities ranging from 100 tons up to 1,000 tons.

Gauge

Our corrugated sheet curving machines are capable of forming corrugated sheet curving components up to 10-gauge metal or 1/8”.

Workpiece size

We are capable of automatically curving corrugated parts with a part and bed size of up to a 20’ length with a 4’ width.

Materials

We curve a variety of corrugated metals as required by our customers needing heavy-gauge corrugated sheet curving components. Materials that we routinely curve include:

  • Aluminum (All Alloys)
  • Aluminum (T1/T2)
  • Cold Rolled Steel
  • Galvanized Steel
  • High Strength, Low Alloy, Steel
  • Hot Rolled Steel
  • Steel (All Alloys)

We also can sheet curve brass, copper, galvannealed, stainless steel, and hot dipped galvanized G-90 through G-285 steel.

Run size/volume/working speed

Midwest Metal Fabrication can offer run sizes of any volume required by our customers. Our typical run size is 50 pieces and up. We run over 10.000 pieces at a time for some customers.

Width

We can bend material up to 4 feet wide on our four-roll bending equipment. Our machinery can virtually make any controlled bend.

Controls

Our corrugated sheet curving machine is completely CNC controlled for perfect repeatability.
