Non-fabricating services benefits

Midwest Metal Fabrication provides heavy gauge metal fabrication services for many Original Equipment Manufacturers, OEMS, end-users, and is well known to heavy gauge metal fabrication consultants, contractors, industrial metal fabricating products purchasing managers, and others, who require, or specify, a broad range of metal fabricating services for heavy gauge metals.

Midwest Metal Fabrication services directly benefit our customers, typically OEMs, by providing them with access to the extensive heavy gauge metal fabricating processes we provide.

To learn about the benefits Midwest Metal Fabrication’s customers derive from each of our non-fabricating services, click on the links that follow.

Assembly

Midwest Metal Fabrication provides assembly services for parts or components we fabricate or have delivered to us including mechanical fastening, insertion, and final inspection and testing, providing a single, comprehensive, source for both heavy-gauge fabrication as well as part and component assembly services, eliminating the costs of utilizing multiple vendor sources.

CAD services

Midwest Metal Fabrication operates two multiple, state-of-the-art, CAD programs, operated by Mechanical Engineers, personnel skilled in drafting, and experienced CAD operators, providing design and engineering services not offered by many heavy gauge metal fabricators.

Design assistance

Midwest Metal Fabrication provides design assistance services including engineering, stress analysis, computer modeling, design modification, and assembly of fabrication show drawings and instructions, providing complete turnkey heavy-gauge fabrication services coupled with design, engineering, and prototyping services under one roof.

Designing prototypes

We offer our design team’s experience and expertise developing prototypes, leveraging our customers’ available design resources, reducing their design costs.

Expediting

Midwest Metal Fabrication checks on production status and will routinely make partial shipments on orders, reducing customer carrying costs and keeping their production on schedule.

Fabricating prototypes

We offer in-house and third-party prototype fabrication services minimizing customer uncertainties by having full scale, operational, fabricated prototypes designed, constructed, and tested by a single source, reducing risks, and time, caused by dealing with multiple vendors.

Packaging

Midwest Metal Fabrication offers the opportunity to utilize custom or special packaging, eliminating the need to work with a stand-alone packaging source, reducing customer time and expenses.

Quality control

Our customers receive large-scale, heavy-gauge, fabricated parts, components, and assemblies with consistently tight production tolerances, ensuring design specifications are met, preventing part rejection and costly rework costs.

Shipping and logistics

Midwest Metal Fabrication selects freight carriers based on the lowest cost or follows customer specified carrier directions, providing least cost freight sources.

Shipping from stock

Midwest Metal Fabrication offers our customers the ability to accept shipments from stock, reducing their inventory carrying costs and eliminating production delays

Tooling

Midwest Metal Fabrication does not construct our own tooling, but offers turn key service through long-term outside tooling providers, providing a single source heavy-gauge metal fabricator and tooling producer, reducing customer vendor search time and associated costs.

Tracking orders

Midwest Metal Fabrication provides manual order tracking services to check on order shipments from initial raw material orders through various manufacturing and metal fabricating steps to completion and our shipments to our customers, ensuring our customers can schedule production without costly delays.

Warehousing

Midwest Metal Fabrication offers our customers the ability to warehouse their finished parts or components in either heated and dry inside storage or outside storage, allowing customers to ensure their fabricated parts or components are subject to costly deterioration or rusting.

Secondary services

Midwest Metal Fabrication can source engineering, machining, purchasing of related products, and alternative cleaning services as customers require, reducing customer purchasing hours and the time and costs of managing multiple vendors.
